Social Work Information

Social work is a practice-based profession and an academic discipline that promotes social change & development, social cohesion, and the empowerment and liberation of people.  Social workers are employed in a variety of settings, including mental health clinics, schools, child welfare and human service agencies, hospitals, settlement houses, community development corporations, and private practices.
