Biographical Information

Tae Kyung Park is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. She completed her Master of Social Welfare in University of Seoul, Korea in 2010 (with an MSW Equivalency Certificate Obtained from CSWE in 2018) and then worked at several non-governmental organizations as a director of humanitarian aid programs overseas and as a program evaluator in child welfare before completing her Ph.D. in Social Work at the Indiana University in 2018. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Seoul in Korea. Her research interests are centered on three key areas: 1) Expanding access to higher education through online education; 2) Environmental justice in Social Work; 3) Transformational leadership style in child welfare.

Before joining UCCS, she was an Assistant Professor in the Social Work Department at the University of Nebraska at Kearny from Fall 2018 through Spring 2022. She was then an Assistant Professor in the Social Work Department at the Long Island University from Fall 2022 through Spring 2023.
